30 days of yoga, about failing and getting up

So how are those 30 days of yoga going you might wonder. Well… life got in the way. I know, lame-ass excuse, but it did. Having to go away a few days for work, running around trying to finish deadlines, that should have been the time to get down onto the mat and do some yoga.

In all honesty, I find this habit very hard to stick to. The idea was to do it in the morning, but I just forget and don’t want to because it’s too cold getting out of bed, and most days before bed I’m just too tired. So I end up not doing it, forgetting about it and just skipping it altogether.

But that’s the challenge I suppose. I saw someone say not too long ago: don’t allow yourself to skip twice in a row. I think that’s a very key challenge. So my challenge for right now is to get back to doing yoga, writing and all the other things I want to do, today. And then just take it from there. I can give myself shit for dropping the ball, for stopping it and not doing it, but all I have control over now is picking it back up and try to do better form this point forward.

So today at lunch, I’m going to do some yoga.
